The Happy Crab by Layla and Kevin Palmer

The Happy Crab by Layla and Kevin Palmer, illustrated by Guy Wolek, is a beautiful story of compassion and joy. The story shares a little crab who lives in the sea and goes on various adventures. One day at the beach,  a little boy finds a shell and picks up the crab. On the way home, he realizes there is a crab living in the shell. Through the story of compassion and conversation with his parents. the boy decides to return the crab to the sea to his home.

The story has beautiful illustrations. It also features a multiracial family. Children are sure to enjoy the delightful pictures as well as the theme of compassion and joy. Based on a true story. I was given a free copy from the publisher for my honest review which I was happy to do. This is a beautiful book.
